We made some improvements to our international site that will make your shopping experience all the more enjoyable. Read on for information about international ordering and shipping to your corner of the world.

Ordering & Payment

In addition to the point-click-purchase ease you were accustomed to before, you can now review products, access your history, create, update and monitor a Wish List, and receive your order faster and with fewer fees. We simply ask that you review your order carefully prior to submission, as it cannot be modified once submitted.

Order Calculation

To view the total cost of your order, add the desired items to your basket. Once you are finished shopping, click "checkout" and you will be directed to the checkout page. Your total will be calculated in US dollars and will not be inclusive of duties and taxes from the US to your selected international destination.

Order confirmation

After you submit your order, you will receive an order confirmation number as well as an email that includes your order confirmation number and an approximate order total.

Customs, Tariffs and Taxes

Duties and taxes are determined by the customs agency within the destination country. Although charges are not always incurred, assessment of duties and taxes will be based on the value of the order and the tax-free threshold, if it exists, for goods imported into the destination country. Payment of any duties and taxes is the responsibility of the recipient, and these fees are collected at the time of delivery. More information can be obtained by contacting your local customs office.

Order Status

If you placed your order through a password-protected online account, you may check the status of your order at any time by signing into My Account and selecting Order History. To check the status of any other order, email us at service@anthropologie.com.

Credit Cards & Gift Cards

We accept the following methods of payment: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and US-issued Anthropologie gift cards.

Items are charged to your credit card when they ship; your credit card company will calculate the current exchange rate automatically. If an item is backordered, you will not be charged for that item until it ships.

For verification purposes, every purchase made with a US-issued gift card also requires you to enter a credit card number. It will only be charged if the order total exceeds the amount on your gift card. In this scenario, you will be charged the outstanding order balance. The information on your credit card will not be used for any other purpose.

Gift Cards

Gift cards are not available for sale in currencies other than USD or for shipment to international customers. Gift cards are valid only in their country of origin.

Price Adjustments

If you have recently purchased items that are now on sale, we will gladly offer you a price adjustment if the original date of shipment was within 14 days of the sale offering. All credits will be applied in US dollars and your credit card company will calculate the current exchange rate automatically.


Shipping Information

Most in-stock items ship within 24 hours of ordering; however, some orders may take up to 48 hours to process. We do not ship on Saturdays, Sundays or US holidays.

Orders shipping to New Zealand, Chile, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, and United Kingdom will in approximately 5-7 business days via DHL. Any applicable duties and taxes will be assessed upon delivery, to be paid by the order recipient.

Orders shipping to Australia will arrive in approximately 10-14 business days and will be delivered by Australia post via Brokers World Wide. Any applicable duties and taxes will be assessed upon delivery, to be paid by the order recipient.

Orders to other international destinations will arrive in approximately 7-10 business days via the United States Postal Service. Any applicable duties and taxes will be assessed upon delivery, to be paid by the order recipient.

Please note that items ordered together may not be shipped out on the same day, and occasionally items may be temporarily out-of-stock or backordered. You will be alerted in either instance and will be provided an approximate date of shipment. Rest assured any shipping delay will be communicated to you at the time of your order. Should any other unforeseen delay occur, you will be notified within 10 days of placing your order.

Restricted Items

Due to size and customs restrictions some items available for sale in the US are not available for international shipment. Consequently, you may see and wish to purchase items available on our US site, but you will be asked to remove these items from your basket if the destination country does not permit the import of that item.

Furniture

International shipping restrictions prevent us from being able to ship oversized items outside of the US.

Backorders

If you place an order for an item that is not available for immediate shipment, it will be "backordered." You will be informed if an item is backordered at the time you add it to your basket, and you will also be given an approximate date of shipment. You will not be charged for backordered items until they leave the US. Your order total will be determined at the exchange rate current when your items ship. In the event that a backordered item is part of your order, we reserve the right to cancel the item or ship your order in multiple packages. If for any reason you would like to cancel a backordered item, please email us at service@anthropologie.com.

Cancellations

If an item is cancelled from your order for any reason, you will not be charged for the item.


Returns & Exchanges

All Anthropologie merchandise is unconditionally guaranteed. If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, please let us know and we will help you. At this time, purchases from anthropologie.com can only be returned to our stores in the US and Canada. Our international stores are unable to accept returned merchandise from international anthropologie.com orders.

Any shipping fees associated with making returns or exchanges are the responsibility of the customer and will not be refunded.
Anthropologie is not responsible for shipping fees or lost returns.

Refund process

A refund will be credited back to your original method of payment, and will post approximately two days after the date of processing. It may take up to two billing cycles for the credit to appear on your monthly credit card statement. Most returns will process in approximately two to three weeks, depending on your method of return.

All orders are refunded in US dollars to the credit card used at the time of the original purchase. In the absence of that credit card, a store credit will be issued. Your credit card company will calculate the current exchange rate automatically.

Exchanges

Before sending your exchange, please fill out the back of your packing list to indicate the type of exchange you'd like to make and enclose it in your package.
