City Cousin Blouse

We're sorry. This product is no longer available.

The humble peasant blouse leaves behind its agrarian roots; thanks to shoulder smocking, a pintucked placket and a flounced, graduated hem, it's ready to pair with metropolitan skinny jeans and platform booties.

Rated 5 out of 5 by breezy go to top I tend to buy something like this from anthro every year. It's simple and holds a casual elegance. At the same time it is also comfortable, functional and hides a lot on those days you feel like hiding a lot (and we all have those days). You may want to size down, but I'm pretty happy with my usual small in this. The fabric is a little stiffer and thicker than I had imagined, but I like that it has substance to it. I am definitely wearing this with a camisole underneath it as well because it is a bit sheer. It may also be great over a swim suit for beach or boating days. In addition, it is good to know that the back dips down lower than the front of this shirt. September 6, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by similar to last years I have this top in white from last summer and really like it. This time I opted for the pastel striped version. This year's version has different sleeves - there is an extra seam and the sleeves are gathered from that point. The sleeves may be too much for some ladies but with this bohemian design it works. The length is longer in the back, shorter in front. The linen fabric is quite thin and sheer, but comfortable. A tank or cami is needed underneath. This top runs big. Last year I went down a size to xs and it is the same this year. This is an easy top to wear; great with jeans or shorts. March 16, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by wanted to love it but the fit was off I ordered this this blouse in a L and XL, hoping one of them would be the perfect white summer shirt I've been hoping to find. Sadly, my hunt continues. I'm an apple with a 42D bust, and the L was too tight in the chest though it fit beautifully in the sleeves and through the body. The XL fit in the chest but was too big and billowy overall for my taste. The fabric is lovely, and the fit in the back is gorgeous, so I suspect this might work well for those with smaller busts. Size Guide

How to Measure

Measure under your arms at the fuller part of your bust. Keep tape level across your shoulder blades.

Natural Waist

Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape comfortably loose.

Drop Waist

Measure around your body 1 1/2" below your natural waist.

Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips.

Using a pair of your pants that fit well, measure from crotch seam to bottom of leg.

Wrap a length of string around your finger and mark where the end touches. Measure the distance between the end of the string and the mark you've made to determine what size to order.
