Rated 4 out of 5 by Beautiful but Snug I really love this dress - the sleeves have a bit of volume and are a great length, the color is rich, the fabric has a little weight to it, and the scalloped edge adds just a touch of interest. The only downside for me is that there is NO give whatsoever to the fabric. I usually wear a 2, I ordered a 2, and the 2 fit like a glove - which would be great if I could just stand still all night and look amazing! But unfortunately I'm going to want to dance (and sit down), and I don't think I would be comfortable in this. Sadly, it's going back. September 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by I was a little hesitant to purchase this dress, given the mixed reviews. I decided to take a chance & purchased the dress in black. I typically wear a 0/2 XS in most Anthro dresses, but I decided after reading the reviews, to size up to a size 4. I am a little curvy in the hip area & was worried my typical size would tug at my hips. I'm very happy to say the size 4 fits perfectly, not too tight nor too loose. I feel like I can definitely move around and even dance if I felt like it, without feeling uncomfortable or restricted. There's room in the hips, but still skims my hips to create a nice silhouette. The volume on the sleeves is perfect and the square neckline is very flattering. The other reviewer is right about the fabric having no give whatsoever. For reference, I am 5'3, 32D bust, 37" hips, 26" waist. If you have a curvier bottom area (like I do), I would definitely recommend sizing up in this dress, at least one size, or two, because of the fabric content. It's definitely a very well constructed dress & the scallop detail is perfect. That being said, give the dress a chance & try it on if you see it in the store! October 24, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by A Bit Too Boxy I tried this dress on in the store today and was disappointed with the fit. I usually buy petite sizes, but since they were not carried in the store, I tried on the regular 2 instead. The shoulders were very roomy (at least an extra inch of fabric) and the shape was loose, even for a shift dress. I find shifts flattering when they at least skim your hips to hint at your shape, but this was way too wide for that. I might have better luck with the petite, but if you decide to order, consider whatever option might give you a snugger fit. September 29, 2013

Size Guide

How to Measure

Bust

Measure under your arms at the fuller part of your bust. Keep tape level across your shoulder blades.

Natural Waist

Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape comfortably loose.

Drop Waist

Measure around your body 1 1/2" below your natural waist.

Hips

Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips.

Inseam

Using a pair of your pants that fit well, measure from crotch seam to bottom of leg.

Rings

Wrap a length of string around your finger and mark where the end touches. Measure the distance between the end of the string and the mark you've made to determine what size to order.
